'Fast And Furious 8' Film Updates: Vin Diesel Gets Helen Mirren, Matt Damon And Cody Walker To Join The Cast

"Fast And Furious 8" film has new stars joining in the film.

Vin Diesel has been announced one good thing after another since the last trilogy of the "Furious" franchise has been confirmed. While it may be obvious that Vin Diesel and the gang will be participating in the film once again, the news of new additions to the cast is still very much anticipated.

According to Movie News Guide, Helen Mirren and Matt Damon are reportedly joining the cast of the "Fast And Furious 8" film. There are no details on what roles they are going to play or how they will be fitting in the new trilogy's plot, however, fans of the film should look forward to their performances.

Helen Mirren's performance should be anticipated as she just recently got into the action film genre when she joined "Red" and "Red 2" as a retired assassin, Victoria Winslow. Damon, on the otherhand, is already a veteran when it comes to doing action films.

Apart from the two Hollywood stars, Vin Diesel may reportedly get Cody Walker, Paul Walker's younger brother, as a new addition to the cast, according to VC Post. However, there is no solid confirmation as to whether or not the new cast additions have signed on for "Furious 8."

The "Fast and Furious 8" film is set to be released in theatres worldwide on April 14, 2017.
