Golden State Warriors Superstar Stephen Curry Finally Talks About His Contract

The Golden State Warriors continue to demolish each and every opponent that comes their way as they remain flawless, 24-0.

Perhaps, the biggest reason for their tremendous success is due to league MVP's Stephen Curry and his otherworldly basketball skills. Ever since he got the award, many are now looking at his contract and how unfit it is for a man of his stature.

With the massive increase in each team's cap space last off-season, many got contracts that are way bigger than the reigning MVP, while Steph clearly is outplaying everyone in the league right now.

With that said, the media asked Curry on what he thinks of his current contract and if he feels a bit upset with it. According to the MVP, it gets in his mind but it doesn't bother him anymore as it was the right decision to make to secure his family financially.

"I had to make a conscious decision and remind myself over and over [to let it go]," Curry told Yahoo Sports. "I could've had a different perspective and said, 'I want to get everything that I could get, wait it out, test free agency that next year - and who knows what would've happened?"

"But for me, a $44 million contract was plenty for me to be able to provide for my family. When I made a decision to sign an extension, I told myself that was the right decision for the moment."

Curry was having ankle issues during that time but the Warriors made a huge gamble on him and still signed him in a long-term deal.

"And, yeah, you should get paid market value, paid for what you're worth, but at the time, for four years, I was comfortable with it. You can't look back, because it'll bring negativity. It'll cause dissension in the team if you allow it to."

The reigning MVP added that he seeks council from his family and it became a lot easier for him from then on.
