NY Knicks Trade Rumors: Wizards' Bradley Beal Going To The Knicks?

The New York Knicks are trying to make the Playoffs this season and trades may be coming soon as the team continues to struggle.

Rumors have surfaced that the team is looking to upgrade their shooting guard position as Aaron Afflalo struggles through injuries and Sasha Vujacic has been inefficient. According to sportsworldreport.com, the starting back court for the Knicks has been outperformed by their bench backcourt duo of Langston Galloway and Jerien Grant.

The team outscores opponents by nearly 21 points per 36 minutes with Galloway and Grant as opposed to Jose Calderon and Vujacic only outscoring teams 12.1 points per 36 minutes of action.

Experts believe the Knicks are in play for the Washington Wizards' shooting guard Bradley Beal who's been mentioned in multiple trade rumors.

As reported by CSNMidAtlantic.com, "The clock also is ticking on coming to terms with Bradley Beal on an extension to his rookie deal. But just as in July, August and last month, the situation remains unchanged, CSNmidatlantic.com has been told by multiple persons with knowledge of the situation."

The report continues "If the Wizards and Beal be unable to meet halfway, the Wizards might be forced to move the shooting guard. Beal still has plenty of upside and he might have the same situation as Enes Kanter, who was moved by the Utah Jazz to Oklahoma City after contract negotiations fell through."

With Beal possibly out of the Wizards, the Knicks are believed to be interested in trading draft picks and expiring contracts for Beal. This deal would instantly provide the Knicks a scoring punch aside from All-Star Carmelo Anthony and rookie sensation Kristaps Porzingis.

The Knicks would have to include draft picks and role players such as Derrick Williams, Jose Calderon and rookie prospect Jerien Grant. Experts believe that the potential trade would be up to the Wizards if they feel that Beal won't be signing with the team after this season.
