‘Final Fantasy 7’ PS4 Remake Update: Here The Latest From Director Tetsuya Nomura!

"Final Fantasy 7" PS4 remake made a lot of noise in the past few weeks when Square Enix unveiled a breath-taking sneak peek of the game. Now, what's next for avid fans of the series?

Square Enix director Tetsuya Nomura spoke with CyberConnect2 via Anime News Network to give some details on the recently released teaser and when fans get their hands on this game, they will have a massive world to explore.

According to the director, although they took away some location from the 1997 classic, they added a lot more and even expounded each section of the game.

"There will be parts that have to be removed, but there will be a significant number of added scenes as well. We decided that it has to be split into multiple titles to be a 'full volume' remake." Kitase said. "We have only shown Sector 1 and Sector 8, and if we made the entire game in that quality, one title wouldn't be enough."

Also, he talked about the gameplay system which will be similar to "Final Fantasy: Dyssidia" and the action sequences won't be as fast as it looked in the trailer.

"The battle's speed and tempo will allow players to play without getting stressed out, somewhat in the vein of Dissidia Final Fantasy. In terms of the degree of action, it will be less than 'Dissidia Final Fantasy' and 'Kingdom Hearts,' and will still require knowledge of the system and strategizing," he said.

Talking about the game's story, he stressed that the important points of the game will stay intact but they will make some amazing modifications that will surprise gamers along the way.

"Those who've played the original game will know the important points of the story inside and out, but we're making the story in such a way that it will still surprise those people." Kitase remarked. "We are making adjustments to the story because we still want fans of the original to get excited."
