Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 8 Cast News Update: It doesn't look like Real Housewives of Atlanta is surviving the departure of NeNe Leakes. There are rumors that Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 8 could be its last.
According to Radar Online, the Real Housewives of Atlanta's most recent episode saw a second decrease of about 700,000 viewers. The RHOA premiere only pulled in about 2.9 million viewers, a drop of about 1 million from the first episode of Season 7.
OK! Magazine is putting the blame squarely on the shoulders of NeNe Leakes, who left the show at the end of Season 7. Leakes has yet to comment on the low ratings of RHOA.
Porsha Williams thinks it might have more to do with Cynthia Bailey, who "overacted" filming the current season of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" last September.
"In the past, Cynthia and I have tended to use the b-word in a playful way," Porsche Williams told BravoTV.com.
"Actually, there have been many times that Cynthia has used the b-word as a term of endearment towards me. She even used the b-word with my friend Shamea [Morton] telling her, 'Show them how a real B goes down the slide,' while on the boat [where the altercation took place]."
Williams took some of that back on the RHOA Blog.
"I am truly sorry that my tone was misread," Williams wrote on the website.
"While on the boat, I thought we were playing in a fun, loving way, [so] I believe Cynthia overacted during the entire situation."
In last Sunday's episode of "RHOA," Bailey kicked Williams in the stomach. Williams said she missed three days of work.
"I was diagnosed with abdominal contusions and bruises on my arms and legs," Williams said.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta continues its eighth season on Sunday nights on Bravo.
