Nike officially revealed the first look at the newest line of Kobe Bryant signature sneakers, the Nike Kobe 11, which happens to have a release date in January, just in time for the last season of the Black Mamba.
As revealed by Uproxx, the newest Nike Kobe 11, which would be the last set of shoes to be seen on court that would be used by the Los Angeles Lakers superstar, would arrive early next year, as its release date has been set for January.
Shoe designer Eric Avar revealed in an interview how he and Kobe intend to bring out the best and most comfortable basketball sneakers ever made to be used effectively in the hard court.
"I think the legacy for the Kobe shoe would hopefully be first and foremost about true performance," he said, stating how he plans to bring out the full potential of the shoe. "Lightweight, responsive, and kind of the essence of simplicity."
Furthermore, Avar also confirmed the design to have the Flyknit technology, which is only seen in the previous models as an elite version. He claimed that he intends to use it in every version of the shoe, saying how he intends "to perfect Flyknit for basketball."
The first colorway for the Nike Kobe 11 scheduled to appear on its announced release date, has been revealed by Nike to have a red and black colorway, tagged as the "Achilles Heel."
According to the site, the shoe "features a graphic representation of the hero on the right heel, while the left features four-stitch marks representing the four feet of thread used in Bryant's 2013 Achilles surgery."
First look of the shoe could be viewed in full detail in this link.
