Black Sabbath is set to embark on a farewell tour in 2016 and a new album is rumored to come out in between the two legs of the tours, as Tony Iommi revealed that he couldn't play with the band any longer.
In a recent interview with guitarist Tony Iommi, he revealed in a Birmingham Mail report how the group agreed to play their last stretch of road shows for 2016, in addition to the fact that the members growing old.
He also revealed how he wouldn't want his illness to comeback, as he is a known survivor of lymphoma, which almost cost him his life a few years back.
In an interview, he revealed how he would want to at least give Black Sabbath fans something to look forward to, as they are scheduled to go on tour next year, with the rumors of releasing a new Black Sabbath album.
"I can't actually do this anymore," Iommi said. "My body won't take it much more."
"I don't want that creeping back again. And all the travelling involved in Sabbath tours increasingly takes its toll. That's why we're going out on one last tour, to say our farewells.
"And then it very definitely is the end," he added while discussing the final tour in 2016 for Black Sabbath. "We won't be doing it again."
On the other hand, Black Sabbath singer Ozzy Osbourne is also scheduled to come up with a new album of his own next year as well.
Epic Records president Sylvia Rhone confirmed in a Blabbermouth report that Osbourne is scheduled to release a new album, which he said would be a "special release."
"It's going to be a really special album," Rhone said. "It's going to be amazing, it's something Ozzy has never done before that he's always wanted to do."
