Adam Jones Reveals Plans For New Tool Album! Record Expected Next Year?

After the lawsuit battle that the band faced in the past decade, Tool finally revealed a few details about their new album, which is rumored to come out in 2016, as frontman Maynard Keenan is still in the process of promoting his other project.

According to a recent interview with Rolling Stone, guitarist Adam Jones revealed how the group has been slowly progressing with the new Tool album, as they have been working slowly but surely on the record.

"Things are really flowing and going really well, and I'm just blown away at the stuff that's coming together," Jones said in an interview. "I'm excited and can't wait for it to be done. It's something I've been missing for a long time [laughs], that beautiful collaboration that we have because we're all so different and have different tastes. But again, when you are all meeting in the middle and that thing you do that meets in the middle is just beautiful, it's very rewarding. So yes, I'm very happy."

Furthermore, with reports of a new album, Tool is also scheduled to hit the road in January with Primus.

Jones talked about playing with the said band, in which he has claimed has been in talks between them for quite some time already.

"We've done a lot of one-offs together," he said. "We're always talking about how we should do a tour together. We're big fans."

Meanwhile, Jones also revealed how the band has already come up with loads of new songs for a potential new Tool album, where he said are "really heavy" but definitely has all the right ingredients to call it a Tool songs.

"Our greatest strength is jamming and coming up with stuff," Jones said of the new album from Tool in another interview with Rolling Stone. "We're doing that really well now and I'm excited about everything we're working on. Some of it's really heavy, some of it's really complex and some is more atmospheric, but it's definitely Tool."
