After over a decade of being out in the scene, Andrea Corr and the rest of The Corrs have revealed that they are working on a new album and that the group is expected to hit the road in the months to follow.
According to a recent report by Malton Mercury, Andrea and Sharon Corr revealed the their group is making a comeback and that they are back in the scene after missing a couple of years, as they took care of their children while they were out.
"We never sort of decided to stop or quit as a band," Sharon said. "We've had eight children between us in the mean time so that kind of takes up 10 years so I think we were sort of entitled to it after sort of 15 years of being on the road."
"But music is part of the fabric of us," she said as the new The Corrs album is being made. "It is absolutely who we are. This is what we do, so it's not really a revelation from that point of view if you know what I mean. This is what we do so we're just doing it."
Talking about the new The Corrs album, a report from RTE revealed that the band got U2 singer and fellow Irish Bono hear a few tracks from their record, wherein they got positive feedbacks from the singer.
"He has heard it all," Andrea said. "We're very fortunate to have him as a friend and also in certain ways a bodyguard. I will often go to him with, 'what do you think of this?'. He has been so supportive and really loves the record."
"I'm really happy when it's positive because also I know he'd tell me the truth if he didn't like it, I'd be hearing all about it, so it's a hell of a compliment."
