If you're missing the days of weekly "Sailor Moon" or are a "Precure" fan who always wanted a new adaptation you're in luck.
That is to say, Netflix is once again proving to be another great place to watch anime.
Courtesy of Saban, the official "Glitter Force" trailer is now streaming on their official YouTube channel. The trailer, available to view below, previews the new "PreCure" anime adaptation that will be streaming on Netflix starting Dec. 18.
So far, fans are impressed with the English voice cast for "Glitter Force."
"I like Emily/Miyuki's voice. I'd also recognize Laura Bailey's voice anywhere. So far, the voices sound good and I like how they didn't go with the [original] colors," said Matt0044 on YouTube.
According to Netflix, the English voice cast for "Glitter Force" includes Laura Bailey, Kate Higgins, Alex Cazares, Colleen O'Shaughnessey, Danielle Nicole, and Debi Derryberry.
The official press release for "Glitter Force" confirms that the series is an adapted version of "Smile PreCure" anime series. The anime was originally released in Japan in 2012 and was produced by Toei Animation. Toei has produced several other anime reboots this year, including "Sailor Moon Crystal" and "Dragon Ball Super."
For those who are not familiar with either "Smile PreCure" or "Glitter Force," Netflix describes the story as follows:
"Glitter Force follows five preteen girls who learn that they are a legendary superhero squad known as the Glitter Force and must defend Earth from evil fairytale villains."
It goes on:
"As a part of the Glitter Force, these fabulous friends transform from ordinary school girls into super powered cool girls. Defending the earth from fairytale villains isn't an easy job, but the Glitter Force proves that nothing is more powerful than friendship."
