New 'Five Nights At Freddy's' Novel 'The Silver Eyes' Teaser Has Terrifying Secret [PHOTO]

While the debate about the meaning behind "Five Nights at Freddy's" lore, Scott Cawthon has moved on to the next installment in the franchise.

No, unfortunately, that doesn't appear to be a new video game.

Earlier today, creator Scott Cawthon revealed a new teaser photo for the upcoming "Five Nights at Freddy's" novel. While the highlight of the teaser is the new official title "The Silver Eyes," fans have discovered (as they usually do) a somewhat frightening secret hidden within the photo.

Continuing as they always have since the beginning, the official "Five Nights at Freddy's" Reddit thread has discovered that brightening Cawthon's teaser photos always reveal a secret.

"Funny thing, animatronics in the background disappear if you brighten it," said Buzzek in the forum.

Fans can view a lapse of the image brightening here. The disappearing action has also yielded a few theories about what could be the plot of the new book, including a theory that maybe "Silver Eyes" refers to the mysterious Purple Guy. Ever the mystery builder however, Cawthon has only confirmed a few details so far about the "Five Nights at Freddy's" novel.

"[The Five Nights at Freddy's novel] expands the mythos and reveals a human element never before seen in the games," said Cawthon on Steam.

According to a post on the "Five Nights at Freddy's 4" Steam page, the "Five Nights at Freddy's: The Silver Eyes" novel will first be made available on Amazon Kindle, meaning a digital first release. A hardcover edition of the novel is planned for release sometime in 2016.

The "Five Nights at Freddy's: The Silver Eyes" novel marks the 6th installment in the "FNAF" franchise. So far, there are four point and click games, an RPG entitled "FNAF World," and a planned movie adaptation.

Though there's little to be known yet about what the "Five Nights at Freddy's" novel will be about, perhaps it will help in the hunt for understanding the existing lore.

If not, well, it wouldn't be the first time "FNAF" fans were left with more questions than answers.
