"Captain Marvel" is three years away from happening but the hype surrounding the movie is getting bigger. The mystery on who will play the first ever female superhero lead role is getting more exciting especially that popular Hollywood actresses have expressed their desire to play the role.
From Emily Blunt, Jessica Chastain to Jennifer Lawrence, they are just few of the names that are listed as favorites to play Carol Danvers. But, in a report by Inverse, "Game of Thrones" star Natalie Dormer is also among the favorites to play the role.
However, the star would only go for it if the material and script will be as good as her current projects. She added that regardless of the size of the project, the substance is what matters for her.
"I'm not going to comment about potential jobs in the future because that's a rabbit hole to go down and get caught up in, but all I'll say is I'll go where the good scripts are. For me, 'Catching Fire,' 'Game of Thrones,' all my other work, I'll just go where the good scripts are," said Dormer, who plays the role of Margaery Tyrell in GoT.
"I love being part of huge mega blockbusters and I love being a part of small independent films and small stage. I'm just looking at the material. I want to know the character and I want to know the text, and then the decision I make from there," she added.
The film's script will be written by Nicole Perlman and Meg LeFauve and the producer will be Kevin Feige. "Captain Marvel" release date is set on March 8, 2019.
