Manny Pacquiao Next Fight: Pac-Man’s Indecisiveness Confuses Top Rank CEO Bob Arum

Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao was supposed to announce his next opponent last Dec. 11. However, their camp announced in the last minute that Pac-Man is not yet ready to make a decision.

Now, his promoter, Top Rank CEO Bob Arum is confused as to why Pacquiao is stalling in making the announcement. Is he still waiting for Floyd Mayweather Jr.? The undefeated-now retired have made it clear that he is not returning to the boxing ring ever again.

That leaves Pacquiao to decide between undefeated American Terrence Crawford or one of his rivals, Timothy Bradley, who he have already fought twice before.

With that said, here's what Bob Arum has to say on Pacquiao's indecisiveness.

"Being surprised is a polite term for it," Arum told Boxing Scene. "But then again, it's his career, it's his life and the announcement will come when it will come. So I'm not there [with Pacquiao], Mike [Koncz] is there. Mike is doing what he can and hopefully it will be made shortly," he added.

Asked if Pacquiao could still convince Mayweather to a rematch, he said, "As far as I'm concerned, as far as the feedback I have received, Mayweather is retired. Leonard Ellerbe keeps saying that, I believe him."

"I don't see any indication otherwise and therefore I'm not going to say, 'Oh, yeah, he can fight Mayweather,' whatever. Mayweather's retired and until we learn otherwise, he is retired."

One thing is for sure though, Manny Pacquiao next fight is happening on April 9, which will be his last fight as well. For fans awaiting his decision, it might be until January until he makes one.
