LeBron James has been dishing compliments left and right in the past few weeks, first, he said his teammate, James Jones is his favorite of all-time and as long as he's around, Jones will have a roster spot in the NBA.
"I told J.J. as long as I'm playing, he's going to be around," James told Bleacher Report. "He's not allowed to stop playing basketball. So, I'm going to make sure I got a roster spot for him. I love him. He's the greatest teammate I've ever had."
The two first became teammates in Miami and since then, James want Jones by his side until his career ends. Jones, upon hearing James' statement, also said that LBJ will be always be his favorite player of all time as well.
"So that was the initial part and then the second part was, 'Hey, I want you to come with here and help me change this thing and do something special,'" Jones said.
"He already knows it's a reciprocation because he's my favorite player ever," Jones said.
Meanwhile, James also complimented OKC Thunder superstar Kevin Durant by saying that the 27 year-old forward will be the All-time leading scorer by the time he retires.
"His ability to score the ball is obviously up there with the greatest to ever play," James said Thursday, via ESPN. "I know that's not in his memory bank right now, him trying to help the team get better and better, but long term he definitely can challenge that."
"He's a 7-footer with 6-foot ballhandling skills and a jump shot," James said. "And athleticism. It's never been done in our league. Never had a guy that's 7 foot, can jump like that, can shoot like that, handle the ball like that. So it sets him apart."
