‘World Of Warcraft: Legion’ To Feature Overhauled PvP Gameplay, Better Rewards System

"World of Warcraft: Legion" will feature a completely overhauled player to player (PvP) experience, a development that is expected to generate a lot of excitement among old and new fans of the franchise.

Under the new PVP system, players will no longer use Honor and Conquest to purchase gear from vendors, but instead earn Honor Points from competing in Battleground and Arenas once they've reached maximum level, according to Battle.net.

"As you earn Honor Points, you will increase your Honor Level, up to the maximum Honor Level of 50," Battle.net wrote.

During the course of the game, players will be "earning a number of rewards, including Gold, Artifact Power, and a brand new set of PvP-only Honor Talents."

Honor Talents are a special set of talents in "World of Warcraft: Legion" which can be accessed by a gamer is in a PvP instance such as a Battleground or Arena or engaged combat, and are unlocked one at time as the gamer's Honor Level increases.

As a players increases his Honor Level, more options will be made available to him or her depending on the strategy he or she utilizes in the PVP gameplay.

"Which Honor Talents you choose can have significant impact on how you play your character, and allow you to tailor your abilities to fit with the type of PvP content you're participating in, or even who you're playing with!," Battle.net said.

The gaming site also noted another new feature in the "World of Warcraft: Legion" wherein the stats in a player's gear will be nullified, and then he or she will be given a pre-determined set of stats based on his or her character's specialization.

"Any set bonuses, enchants, Legendary bonuses, or trinket effects will be deactivated (although your Artifact and its related Artifact Powers will remain active)," Battle.net further noted.

Eurogamer likened the gameplay of "World of Warcraft: Legion" to the highly-popular mutli-player shooter game "Call of Duty," wherein players can sacrifice their Honor levels and talents for an increased Prestige level.

"The higher your Prestige, the better the rewards - a strong incentive for people to keep playing," the site pointed out.

Eurogamer also noted the increased frequency of PVP seasons, as well as how rewards will be given in light of the refurbished gameplay, a strategy that hopes to discourage gamers from flocking to one faction.

"World of Warcraft: Legion" is anticipated to be released in the third quarter of 2016.
