When the Golden State Warriors' win streak came to an end, the Milwaukee Bucks fans celebrated as they wore t-shirts that wrote 24-1-in reference to the would be standing for the then undefeated Warriors. The Bucks' surprising win did not sit well with the Warriors' players and even their fans.
As per Yahoo! Sports, a local clothing company called Oaklandish produced T-shirts that made fun of the struggling Bucks' 10-17 record as the apparel read "10-18."
"It was made for fun for us and some friends," Angela Tsay, a Oaklandish representative stated. "Fewer than 100 were made. Oakland and Oakland sports have been the underdogs and hated on so hard for years. It's great now to be able to troll back and be able to back it up."
The Warriors sure got their revenge as they beat the Bucks 121-112 in their rematch. For interim head coach Luke Walton, this kind of trash talk is purely fun and part of the game. "We didn't print those shirts," Walton clarified. "I didn't even see them during the game in Milwaukee. I saw it on [television]. But that is part of the fun of what we do. We play in front of thousands of people. Home crowds make pretty good signs and T-shirts. That's part of the game."
However, according to espn.com, this may not just be some friendly exchanges between the two teams as forward Draymond Green and shooting guard O.J. Mayo got into a heated exchange at the end of the game. As per the report, "Green held up his hand as Mayo made contact with Green's chest after the buzzer. The two then traded words, and Mayo touched the back of Green's head. Green brushed Mayo's arm off, and some pushing and shoving between the teams ensued." Sources say that if not pulled back, the two would have instigated a brawl between two teams.
This isn't the first time Green had issues with the Bucks as he took some jabs towards Bucks' point guard Michael Carter Williams for celebrating and taunting the Warriors bench. "Like dude, you lost your [starting] spot," Green said of MCW. "So, it's not quite common that you should be looking towards someone's bench yelling when you've got some ground to make up. But I love the intensity.
