Everyone may be amped up and settled into the 2016 winter anime, but there's still plenty of reasons to be excited for spring, including what some are saying might become the next big shonen series like "Naruto" or "One Piece."

The official website for the "My Hero Academia" anime series recently revealed character designs for the characters of Tsuyu Asui and Minoru Mineta. The character designs are pictured below. The "My Hero Academia" anime is set to premiere sometime in April.

So far, fans in ANN forum are responding positively to the new "My Hero Academia" anime character designs.

"This looks nice. There's just something peculiarly cute about Tsuyu Asui from that design," said Stark700.

The new character designs were also accompanied by Japanese voice cast announcements for each character. Tsuyu Asui will be voiced by Aoi Yuki, who is known for her role as Madoka in "Puella Magi Madoka Magica." Minoru Mineta will be voiced by Ryou Hirohashi, who is known for her role as Aoi Yamada in "Wagnaria!!"

According to Crunchyroll, the "My Hero Academia" anime series will be directed by Kenji Nagasaki. Yousuke Kuroda will handle the scripts for the series and Yoshiko Umakoshi will provide the character designs.

"My Hero Academia" was originally a manga series by Kohei Horikoshi. The series is currently running in Weekly Shonen Jump. Viz Media is simultaneously publishing the chapters and released the first volume of the manga in August.

The story of "My Hero Academia" is described by Viz Media as follows:

"Middle school student Izuku Midoriya wants to be a hero more than anything, but he hasn't got an ounce of power in him. With no chance of ever getting into the prestigious U.A. High School for budding heroes, his life is looking more and more like a dead end. Then an encounter with All Might, the greatest hero of them all, gives him a chance to change his destiny."
