The long celebrated "Sailor Moon" series was rebooted last year in the form of "Sailor Moon Crystal" and after a long wait, "Sailor Moon Crystal" season three was confirmed.

Unfortunately, fans will still have to wait until later this year before they can finally see the brand new episodes.

Luckily, Toei has offered a first look at "Sailor Moon Crystal" season three in the form of new key art featuring the outer senshi. The key art, which was first released in black and white via Animedia and now a color version has surfaced. Fans can check out the new key art with color below.

Anime News Network reports that "Sailor Moon Crystal" season three will get a new director and a new character designer. Unfortunately, it seemed fans were mostly hoping for a new writer.

"Not going to lie, I was really hoping for a change in writers. A new director however does seem semi-promising," said Whiskeyii in an ANN forum.

The new director in question is Chiaki Kon who is known for her work on series like "Junjou Romantica" and "Golden Time." Akira Takahashi, who previously worked on "Suite Precure" will take over as the main character designer.

Sailor Moon Crystal" season three will adapt the "Death Busters" story arc from the original manga series by Naoko Takeuchi. The third story arc marks the appearance of all 10 sailor scouts, specifically outer scouts Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune, Sailor Pluto, and Sailor Saturn.

For those that need to catch up on the first two seasons of "Sailor Moon Crystal," all of the episodes are streaming on Crunchyroll, Niconico, and Hulu. Viz Media also licensed the series for home video release in North America. Viz Media also has planned a "Sailor Moon Crystal" English dub.

"Sailor Moon Crystal" is a reboot of the original anime adaptation of the "Sailor Moon" manga series by Naoko Takeuchi. The series was announced as a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the initial series launch.
