'My Love Story' Manga Reportedly Will Soon Reach Its Climax

Falling in love is a seemingly endless story that can be told in an endless amount of ways.

One really popular quirky love story however may soon be coming to an end.

According to reports, Editor-in-chief of Bessatsu Margaret magazine Takaaki Imai has revealed in a new interview that the "My Love Story" manga series will soon reach its climax. No specific time frame was confirmed, but it appears that creator of the manga series Kazune Kawahara may be getting close to the end because of starting a new series.

"Since Kazune Kawahara has just started her new serialized manga 'Suteki na Kareshi', 'My Love Story' is approaching its climax," said Imai.

Kawahara's new series "Suteki na Kareshi" or "A Wonderful Boyfriend" began on Jan. 13. Anime News Network reports that the series follows Nonaka Kozakura, a girl who has a dream and "hurries to excute her plan to get a boyfriend."

The "My Love Story" manga series was surprisingly originally a 100-page story that first ran in Bessatsu Margaret Sister in October 2011. The series then went on to be serialized as well as compiled into print volumes by Shueisha. The company released the "My Love Story" manga volume was released in October 2015.

The "My Love Story" manga series also yielded an anime adaptation that was released in April 2015 and a live action movie that opened in October 2015.

Viz Media, who is releasing the "My Love Story" manga series outside of Japan, describes it as follows:

"Takeo Gōda is a giant guy with a giant heart. Too bad the girls don't want him! (They want his good-looking best friend, Sunakawa.) Used to being on the sidelines, Takeo simply stands tall and accepts his fate. But one day when he saves a girl named Yamato from a harasser on the train, his (love!) life suddenly takes an incredible turn!
