‘Dota 2’ Spring Cleaning Update: A Glimpse Of Next Week’s Massive Add-Ons

The "Dota 2" team posted on its blog that the game's Spring Cleaning update will arrive next week.

The update includes fixed in-game bugs and an improved gameplay environment. There are also a few new features that will be added to the game client.

One of the new features is the hero-specific ability bindings. It can be configured in the Settings > Hotkeys menu. This feature will let players set their own hotkeys for certain spells to a specific hero and it also includes a quickcast checkbox on the spells boxes. It will also allow players to create their own hotkey bindings for every hero they want to configure in order to fit into their playstyle.

Another new feature of the "Dota 2" Spring Cleaning update is the neutral spawn indicators. This will make warding and dewarding for supports very easy. Upon selecting an observer or sentry ward to be placed on the map, spawn boxes are shown to help players block or unblock neutral camps.

The camera control group hotkey is also one of the new features. This feature will let players bind a specific area on the map to a key of their choice. Players will just need to hold the Ctrl key + the key of their choice in order to bind the location to that key. After assigning the location to a key, pressing the key will trigger the camera to move to the area on the map that was set for that key. Pressing the key again will return the camera to the player's hero.

The minimap icon update will be a very big modification to the gameplay of "Dota 2." This will change the way players think during a match just by looking at their minimap. Most surprised attacks might be easily avoided because of the new direction indicator for enemy units that will be added.
