‘Frozen 2’ News: Sequel To Highlight The ‘New Elsa;’ Anna’s ‘Super Powers’ Revealed?

We are finally getting some news about Disney's much-awaited "Frozen" sequel, "Frozen 2," coming from returning cast Kristen Bell, co-director Chris Buck and other people involved in the movie.

First, co-director Chris Buck has confirmed in an interview that "Frozen 2" will most likely feature the unseen sides of the beloved characters namely Elsa, Anna, Olaf and Kristoff, although much of these will highlight a "new Elsa."

"We're working on the sequel right now," Chris Buck told Fandango. "Jen (Lee) and I are getting back in the room and we've got some cool ideas coming up."

When asked about what version of Elsa fans are going to see, Chris Buck said that they are going to have "a little more fun" with Elsa's character.

"[In Frozen] she had such a dramatic journey, and at the end she's just starting to feel like she can open up and have some fun again," the co-director said. "That's what was really good about the short-we could have fun with Elsa. And that personality... you will see in the next one."

"I can't divulge anything but for us, Jen and me, it's been so fun to get back in the room and be with these characters again. These characters are part of us-both for Jen and me. Anna, Kristoff, Elsa, Olaf-they're all parts of our personality, so it's fun to play with these characters again and sort of see where we can go next with them. Just like any characters that you love, to see them grow and to see what happens next," he added.

Second, Kristen Bell confirmed that aside from directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, she, along with Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad. For "Frozen 2," it has been largely rumored that Anna will be having her own super powers.

In a recent interview with ComingSoon.net, however, Kristen Bell who plays Anna talked about a different super power.

"I feel particularly lucky that it's ['Frozen 2'] going to have an extra life, because when I can be Princess Anna to little kids, it feels really good. I can call friends or nieces or nephews or auction winners as Princess Anna and it's really special. It feels like a super power," she said.
