Kylie Jenner shared why she decided to create her Lip Kit line and what the future holds for her brand.
In an interview with Adweek, the 18-year-old "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star revealed how she chooses the brands that she promotes. The social media queen admitted that she has to be "passionate about the brand" and that "it has to be a perfect fit."
"I don't work with anything that doesn't work with my brand," she told the publication.
Kylie Jenner's Lip Kits have been quite successful. The actress has introduced new shades and glosses for her line recently.
Moroever, Jobs&Hire reported that the products keep on getting sold out. When Jenner restocked the items on Mar. 28, it was gone by 20 minutes.
In another report, it was revealed that a restock will be coming this week. Hopefully, it will include the release of her new metallic matte shades that was created for Coachella.
"I feel like people trust my makeup decisions," Jenner said. "Before I had a cosmetics line, I couldn't even buy the products that I loved because I would go into stores and they'd be, like, 'Everything's sold out. Everyone wants to buy the color lipstick you're using.'"
"It got frustrating. So I kind of just wanted to take matters into my own hands and create my own line and show people what I actually use and what I actually love."
While her lip glosses were announced with a steamy music video, the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star also revealed that she doesn't plan on doing official ads for her brand.
"It's so successful right now that I don't really want to do advertising," the 18-year-old star explained. "But I want to do some cool stuff. Commercials would be amazing. Just something fun once we can get in the rhythm of mass amounts of stuff."
