New Netflix Movies And Series For May Announced; Hulu Beats Site's Film Library?

New Netflix movies and series have been announced for next month. Listed below are the shows that will be available and unavailable by May.

According to USA Today, 80's hits "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure" and "Blade Runner" will no longer be available next month. 1948 film "Anna Karenina" and 2013's "Run & Jump" are on the way out of the streaming service as well.

Netflix series "Grace and Frankie" and "Bloodline" will both be returning for their second seasons. Teen comedies such as "Bring It On" and "Sixteen Candles" will be available on the streaming service by next week.

2016's "A Study in Sherlock," "Just Friends" (2005), "The Nutty Professor" (1996), "She's Beautiful When She's Angry" (2014), and 1955's "To Catch a Thief" can be streamed on May 1. "The Replacements" will be available by May 2.

Another Netflix original, "Ali Wong: Baby Cobra," will be on the streaming service by May 6, along with "Grace and Frankie." 2015 film "Goosebumps" will be available on May 11.
Four Netflix original shows will come to the service on May 27. "Bloodline" season 2, "Chef's Table" season 2 part 1, "Mako Mermaids" season 4 and "The Do-Over" can soon be streamed in the later part of next month.

Meanwhile, Mashable reported that Hulu's film library seem to be overtaking the list of Netflix movies. It was noted that Hulu has 3,800 films ready to be streamed as of late March.

The U.S. catalog of Netflix's movies has dropped by approximately a third in over two years. Although the streaming service still has more films overall, with 4,300 titles, this lead may not last very long. Amazon is also said to be "aggressively adding titles" to its database.

"To put it simply, an exact number reflecting the breadth of the catalog does not exist," a spokesperson for the site told the publication.

"The licensing and renewal process occurs on an on-going basis, meaning titles are constantly being added and rotated off the service. Our focus is to continuously deliver great experiences for our members and we look to continue doing so by providing great movies and TV series that can only be found on Netflix."
