With "The Last Of Us" movie reportedly happening, cast members for the film are starting to rack up but have the confirmation from "Game Of Thrones" star Maisie Williams first.
Williams went on an interview earlier this year, which was reported by Coming Soon, and revealed how she already talked to the creators and producers of "The Last Of Us" movie, as she is being carefully considered to be on the cast of the film.
"I had a lunch a little while ago and we spoke about the possibility of me playing Ellie and that's really exciting and I would absolutely love to," Williams said about the potential "The Last Of Us" movie casting. "They announced at Comic-Con that we had spoken about it, and since then in like every interview people have been asking me about it."
"Honestly I would love to and I think they would love me to play Ellie also, and that's where it is at the moment," she said. "There's no script, no director, it's still very early days for the whole project, but if it all goes ahead soon enough I think, yeah, I would love to."
Meanwhile, game creator Neil Druckmann also confirmed that he has been working on the process of the film, which he revealed he has finished at least a few drafts for "The Last Of Us" movie.
"I just finished a second draft, and we did a table read with a bunch of actors," he said. "Pretty faithful to the game. There are some big changes, but the tone and what the story's trying to say is pretty faithful to the game."
Furthermore, with Maisie Williams most likely being considered as Ellie for "The Last Of Us" movie, rumors surrounding the Joel role is most likely being locked in for Dylan McDermott, Hugh Jackman or Gerard Butler.
