Jun Jihyun and Lee Minho Attends Script Reading For New SBS Drama ‘Legend Of The Blue Sea’

Lee Minho and Jun Ji Hyun, lead roles of SBS' upcoming drama "Legend of the Blue Sea," had their first script reading and attended in casual clothes and make-up. The network has also confirmed that "Legend of the Blue Sea" will be aired on November 16 this year.

According to Asia Starz, the filming for "The Legend of the Blue Sea" started back in August at Goesan, North Chungcheong province in Korea. After some weeks, the shooting location changed to Palau for the underwater scenes. Then, in September, the cast and crew flew to Spain to continue shooting and the exotic coast sequences of the drama were shot there.

"The Legend of the Blue Sea" is written by Park Ji-eun - the same writer who wrote "My Love From the Star," which stars Jun Ji Hyun and Kim Soo Hyun. Yibada said the plot of the drama has the same story as the legend about fisherman who caught but also released a mermaid during Joseon era. There are two timelines in the drama, one is the modern-day Korea and another is the Joseon era.

Lee Minho will play the role of a conman in the present-day time and a son of a decent family during the Joseon era. Meanwhile, Jun Ji Hyun will play the role of the mermaid, who ends up in the modern-day Seoul. "Legend of the Blue Sea" will have a total of 20 episodes and will replace "Jealousy Incarnate" on Wednesdays and Thursdays slot.

Fans are super excited for this star-studded cast. Netizen Buzz reported that people are anticipating for this drama because two of the most famous Hallyu stars are in it. People are expecting very romantic but at the same time funny drama from these two and the writer. Lee Minho and Jun Ji Hyun will definitely give viewers all the feels with this romantic drama.
