BTS popularity continue to soar in the international level

BTS popularity in the international level continue to reach higher level. The seven-member boy become the first group that stay position in Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks in a row.

The Bangtan Boys hold their position in the Bilboard Hot 100 for the second consecutive week. Slipping from the 26th position to 106th, BTS become the first KPop artist who is able stay in the Billboard Hot 100 for two consecutive weeks.

They also broke the record sales record and chart record according to Billboard with their newest album “Wings.” Within four days, sales of the album has reached 16,000 in America, and 11,000 of the that were in the CD sales.

The album was relased at midnight of Oct. 10, preceded by a live show hosted by the group members. They opened up to their fans about their second album and the experience upon recording the album. After the live show, 3 million viewers were recorded to watch the show.

“Wings” consist of 15 tracks and each member have the opportunity to sing their own song. Jungkook sings the third track “Begin,” Jimin and V sing “Lie” and “Stigma respectively, followed by Suga with “First Love,” Rap Monster with “Reflection,” sentimental song “MAMA” by J-Hope and “Awake” by Jin.

The entire album tells the story about the internal conflict when a boy grow into a man and facing temptation. Their single “Blood Sweat and Tears” presents a catchy and sexy dance tune with the electronic music sound in the background.

BTS is also scheduled to be the opening act of the Korean Popular Culture & Arts Awards, and also one of the award’s recipient, according to OSEN. The awards is presented annually to artists with a distinctive achievement in pop culture. The Korean Popular Culture & Arts Awards consist of four awards - the Cultural Merit Award, the Presidential Award, the Prime Minister's Award, and the Minister of Culture Award.
