SBS Announced Cast Members Of The New Sitcom “Super Family”

SBS is preparing sitcom to replace the “Scene Stealer” which ended this month. The TV station has made official announcement of the cast members and schedule premiere on Feb. 6.

According to the official announcement from the SBS, the sitcom will follow the ordinary family. They are a husband, who work as an ordinary employee with his wife, an ordinary housewife and their daughter, a high school student. The story revolves around their struggle in daily life which make every one of them is a superhero in their own field.

SBS also announced cast members of the sitcom led by senior actor Park Hyuk-Kwon as the male lead character Na Chun-Il, and Park Sun-Young as his wife Ra-Yeon. Young actress Kim Ji-Min is cast as their adolescentbdaughter Na Ik-Hee. Other cast members are the INFINITE’s member Hoya, Park Hee-Bon and young actress Kang Heun-Ah.

The 17-year-old Kang’s involvement in the sitcom was also announced by her agency King Kong Entertainment as reported by Seoul Daily News. This will be her third drama project after KBS “Rock Rock Rock” in 2010 and the 2015 tvN drama “Bubblegum.”

Choi Mun-Seok will be the director of the sitcom which will be his seventh drama projects. He is the renown director whose previous prominent projects are “Something Happened In Bali” in 2004 and “Angel Eyes.”

The SBS scriptwriter led by Jin-Youn will focus the story on the everyday’s life of Chun-Il and his family. As an ordinary office worker, or called salaryman in Korea, he has to survive in a tight competition in his office. While his wife Ra-Yeon has to deal with his low salary to manage the household.

The sitcom’s literal title is “Strong Family” which is a direct translation from 초인가족 (Cho In Gajook), with “Super Family” as the working title. Watch the official teaser trailer from SBS below (the trailer may not be available in some region):
