Girls’ Generation is still adored by their fans after decade of their career. To mark the 10th year of their long career, the youngest member Seohyun releases her debut album “Don’t Say No.”
Fans are still waiting for the Girls Generation after their last album “Lion Heart” in 2015. However, the members are busy with their own schedule. This year is the 10th year of their career and SM Entertainment decided to let the youngest member Seolhyun to release her solo album as reported by ET News. Her solo album”Don’t Say No” will mark the 10th year anniversary of Girls’ Generation career.
Girls’ Generation debuted in 2007 after years of scouting and training. The leader Taeyeon has joined SM Entertainment since 2004 and became the trainee together with Tiffany. While other members Jessica Jung, Sooyoung and Hyoyeon has been with the agency four years earlier. Together they were assembled with four other members Sunny, Yuri, Yuna and the youngest Seohyun.
They debuted with single “Into The New World” in July 2007, followed by their self-title album a month later. Their debut album was sold for 56,000 copies in Korea and people started to recognize them.
The group made a breakthrough two years later with their album “Gee” in 2009. Their title track became hits in music charts all over Korea and paved the way for their international popularity. They enjoyed commercial success in Korea and international ever since.
After 10 years, Girls’ Generation is still astonishing with their continuous transformation according to Chosun Ilbo. They debuted in the same year with Wonder Girls and Kara, but Kara was disbanded last year after 9 years of career. This leaves Girls’ Generation and Wonder Girls as the last remaining second generation girl group in KPop.
