Wonder Girls may have disbanded but the group remained supportive of each other, even to their previously departed member Sohee. The actress still gets support from her former girl group for her acting career.
The Wonder Girls cheered on the actress at the VIP premiere of her movie "Single Rider" at the Wangsimni CGV in Soul on Feb. 21. Hyerim, Yeeun, and Sunmi were spotted at the event. Only Yubin did not make it to the premier, Yahoo! Lifestyle has learned.
In an interview with a TV report, Sohee expressed her thankfulness to the Wonder Girls members for their support. According to Naver, the actress said she was very happy to say hello to the members in the waiting room. She thanked them for coming to the premiere night.
She further revealed in the interview that she knew about the disbandment beforehand. "I wish the members will do even better after the disbandment," she said.
Wonder Girls disbanded earlier this January due to unsuccessful contract renewal negotiation with some of its members. Sohee left Wonder Girls in 2013 to focus on her acting career, AllKPop previously reported. Yubin and Hyerim will stay with JYP while Yeeun will leave the label.
"Single Rider" follows the life of a fund manager Kang Jae-hoon (Lee Byung-Hun) who went on a brink of despair when his company goes bankrupt. He visited his wife Soo-jin (Gong Hyo-Jin) in Australia only to find out that she is having an affair with her neighbor.
Sohee plays Ji-Na, a university student who arrived in Australia on a working holiday visa. "Single Rider" also features Jack Campbell, Eugene Young, Geoff Agnew, and Steve Brown. The film was produced by Warner Bros.
It was a star-studded premiere night. Park Shin Hye and Han Hyo Joo are just some of the actresses who graced the event.
