Minzy of the now-disbanded 2NE1 has just dropped the name of her new fans club. On her similarly new Instagram account made specifically for the fans, Minzy named her fans club "POS".
Soompi reports that Minzy of the now-disbanded girl group 2NE1 has named her official fan club "POS". She announced this in a video uploaded on her new Instagram account for the fans club.
Minzy explained in her Instagram video that "POS" is a Greek word for light. She further elaborates that her fans shine a light on her. Minzy also posted the official logo for the POS fan club.
Minzy is currently preparing to release her first solo album after 2NE1's disbandment. Just recently, it has been confirmed that Minzy recorded a song with the American singer, songwriter, and rapper Jay Park.
Korea Portal reports Minzy's label, Music Works, confirmed that she recorded a track with American songwriter and rapper Jay Park. Music Works, however, also announced that Minzy's album will still take some time to complete.
"It's true that [Minzy] recorded a song with Jay Park," said Music Works in a statement. "But we only have a recorded song, and nothing besides that has been confirmed." The music label also added that Minzy's first solo album is still in its initial stages of preparation.
There were rumors that Minzy's album will be released in April or May. This, however, was denied by a source from Music Works.
Minzy started working on her solo album since last year. She even posted a picture of her and Jay Park together to tease the fans of what's in store for them. Both artists are also good dancers.
Back in April last year, Minzy made the headlines as she left 2NE1 and decided to become a solo artist for Music Works. She was not, however, forgotten by her former band mates as 2NE1 leader CL revealed their final song "Goodbye" was not just written for the fans, but for Minzy as well.
