Member Jackson suddenly got sick during GOT7's fan meeting on Saturday, March 11. JYP Entertainment then released a statement the next day regarding Jackson's current state of health.
On Saturday, Jackson and the entire members of GOT7 held their "Excursion with GOT7" fan meeting in Seoul. Suddenly, member Jackson got sick.
According to All Kpop, witnesses on the event reported that the "Excursion with GOT7" fan meeting kicked-off well with members in their best, cheerful mood. But apparently at one point during the fan meeting, Jackson suddenly vomited in front of the fans.
Jackson also fell off of his chair and was even unconscious for a short while. Also according to eyewitnesses, Jackson still wanted to proceed with the fan meeting - but was instead sent to the nearest hospital.
After what happened, fans took on to twitter to wish Jackson the best. The hashtag "#GetWellSoonJackson" even trended worldwide with 92.8K Tweets.
JYP Entertainment then released a statement on Sunday, March 12. The agency clarified that Jackson is resting and is doing well at the moment.
"Jackson suddenly got unwell during the GOT7 fanmeeting on the 11th in Korea. We decided that he was unfit to go on, so he did not participate in the last high-touch," said JYP Entertainment in their statement. "He's currently resting and focusing on recovering."
Jackson and GOT7 were recently busy preparing for their comeback. Their newest album "Flight Log: Arrival", is slated for release on Monday, March 13, reports Soompi. This maybe the reason why Jackson got ill as the promotions took its toll in his body.
"Flight Log: Arrival" will have "Never Ever" as the album's title track. GOT7 released a 30-second teaser clip for the song's MV that will also be released on March 13, and even an album an album spoiler that contained snippets of the album's tracks.
