BTS News and Updates: Rapper Wale and BTS Rap Monster Drops Politically Tinged Collaboration 'Change'

After months of teasing an impending collaboration, American rapper Wale and BTS leader RAP Monster have dropped the MV of their song "Change." Fans of both artists were surprised at the unscheduled release but had a lot of positive words to say about the politically tinged song.

According to a report by Billboard, one thing that makes the track stand out from other material is that it embraces it's full message on issues affecting society instead of steering clear of sensitive topics. Based on the site's early review, Rap Monster and Wale were even brave enough to address issues of mental health, bullying and suicide.

The collaboration between the two talented rappers also paved the way to start the conversation for issues affecting the youth in Asia and in the US as the rhymes criticized positions on divisiveness, racist police, government. It even harped on social media platform Twitter's ability to "kill.

Of course, the song also gave a shoutout to BTS' loyal fandom called ARMY. Wale's megahit "Folarin Like" was also mentioned in the track.

The track was recorded in Seoul in month when Wale met with Rap Monster. The rapper was tweeting about the potential collaboration since last year after a fan tagged him in the video of Rap Monster's cover of his song "Illest B*tch" last year. The rapper immediately expressed openness to work on a track together and even addressed BTS in some of his rhymes on some of his performances, Kpopstarz reported.

Early this month, Wale posted a snap on his Instagram of himself and Rap Monster hanging out backstage of an event or at a studio, further teasing that their collaboration is in the works. He also thanked the BTS ARMY for their warm welcome.

Meanwhile, BTS is set to perform for the US leg of their The Wings Tour; BTS Live Trilogy Episode III from March 23 to April 2. They will be performing to sold out crowds in Anahein and Newark.
