After being sent to the hospital on Wednesday, March 15, Jisoo of Tahiti will now sit through all promotions of the group. The K-pop idol has already missed their Osaka show on March 17.
In her recent admission to the hospital on March 15, the doctors saw Jisoo had signs of depression, reports Koreaboo. The K-pop idol was also diagnosed with a panic disorder.
Because of this, Tahiti's agency J-Line Entertainment has ultimately decided that Jisoo will not be participating in any of the group's promotions and performances. The agency claimed the decision was for Jisoo's sake and for the group's as well.
Jisoo's illness has now affected her movie promotions. It has also affected Tahiti's comeback plans as the group was slated to release a brand new album in June.
"...we will need to revise Tahiti's schedules," said J-Line Entertainment in a statement. "We had planned a new Korean album to be released in June but there is a possibility that will need to be changed."
J-Line Entertainment also released a statement regarding Jisoo's absence for Tahiti's performance in Osaka, Japan. "Tahiti Japan Live in Osaka" was held on Friday, March 17.
In their statement, they indicated that Jisoo really wanted to perform Tahiti's Osaka show. However, the doctors have suggested that it was better for Jisoo to rest.
J-Line Entertainment sent their apologies to the fans through Tahiti's official fan site. The agency also asked for the fans' understanding as Jisoo's mental health is their top-most priority.
J-Line Entertainment also thanked the fans in their statement. The agency also hopes that the fans would still continue to support Tahiti despite Jisoo's absence.
Jisoo is one of the original members of Tahiti. According to Wikipedia, the K-pop idol has been with the group since they debuted in 2012.
It is sad to hear of Jisoo's mental state. The fans sure do hope she would recover and would rejoin Tahiti in the future.
