BIGBANG's DVD of its Japanese dome tour "BIGBANG10 THE CONCERT: 0.TO.10 -THE FINAL-," reportedly peaked on Japan's biggest music ranking chart Oricon Style. The group's "BIGBANG'S 2017 WELCOMING COLLECTION DVD" accordingly also claimed the third spot on the chart and proved BIGBANG's popularity. The band is presently focusing on their Korean comeback with promotions this spring, nonetheless, their popularity apparently escalates especially in Japan.
The DVD is reportedly a documentary of the group's Dec. 26 Tokyo Dome concert that apparently includes everything from their rehearsals to their Osaka Kyocera Dome tour.
According to Allkpop, the group's Blu-Ray disc allegedly sold 21,000 copies within the first week. Adding up their DVD sales and music video ranking, the band was able to capture the top spot.
Accordingly, this is not the first time BIGBANG has achieved this exploit. The band purportedly also surpassed three weekly Oricon charts last year with a DVD they released in July. Last year's concert was reportedly held in celebration of BIGBANG's 10th anniversary,
BIGBANG is said to be the first foreign artist to fruitfully hold dome tours in Japan for four years in a row, reports Soompi. They have allegedly performed in four Japanese cities, including Osaka. Out of the 16 shows that they have performed, the band garnered a total attendance of around 781,500 people.
Japan Dome Tour was accordingly the fourth Japanese concert tour by the band Big Bang. The tour was held in six of Japan's major concert domes. This makes the group as the first foreign artist to headline their own six-Dome tour.
The tour was allegedly one of Japan's highest-grossing concert tours of the year. The 16 shows reportedly grossed over US$70.6 million with all of the tickets for the tour sold out. The three-hour long concert accordingly covered more than 30 songs, including encore and re-encore.
