Minzy Shares What It Feels Like To Miss Out A Lot Of Childhood Moments

Some people may agree that childhood is the best time in life. No responsibilities, no heartbreaks and it is definitely the perfect time to play around to create memories. However, Minzy doesn't seem to be recalling the childhood memories because she's been trained as an idol since an early age.

Minzy revealed some interesting, yet painful stories on the latest episode of "Sister's Slam Dunk 2". The former 2NE1 shared she never really had childhood experiences that she could reminisce, which is the price she had to pay in order to be a big star like she is now.

According to Korea Boo, Minzy was a trainee of YG Entertainment since she was just 13 years old. She recalled that she never had any close friends in childhood. During the training program, she was required to leave early from school to attend the training, that's why she hardly had any close friends from school. Not having friends wasn't the only thing Minzy regrets as a kid. She also felt heartbroken when she missed field trips to focus on her training.

"I often thought to myself, I want to play with friends too, I want to play in the playground and do other things a kid supposed to do," shared Minzy as cited by Soompi. Since Minzy doesn't have a lot of memories in school, the participants of "Sister's Slam Dunk 2" decided to wear cute school girl uniforms and took a field trip together.

No matter how painful it was for Minzy, she is now able to get the sweet taste of her hard work. After leaving 2NE1 and signed with new label Music Works, Minzy now works as an individual. She recently released her solo debut album "Minzy Work 01 Uno" and scored number 2 on Billboard World Chart. Minzy has also successfully held her first solo concert in Japan on May 5.
