BTS' 'Blood Sweat & Tears' Japanese Version Poised To Smash Youtube Viewing Records With Edgy New MV

BTS is getting ready to release the Japanese version of its hit song "Blood, Sweat, and Tears." The boys recently released a teaser of the new MV which features a different feel from the Korean version of the track.

According to a report by All Kpop, the Japanese version of "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" also features artistic elements but is noticeably more dramatic and colorful than its predecessor. The Korean version of the track is considered one of the most viewed MVs on youtube and recently gained fresh momentum when it received 2 million likes. This makes the track the most liked K-pop MV on the streaming platform.

Based on a report by Popcrush, the "Blood, Sweat and Tears" Japanese version is the first track to be released after BTS signed with Def Jam records, which will serve as their label in Japan. The Japanese MV of the track features colorful artworks, drugs and alcohol and violence in a seemingly surreal environment that may be symbolic of social issues. The Japanese version, however, retained BTS' strong choreography but amped it up to come out with an edgier feel to the track.

"Blood, Sweat and Tears" is considered one of BTS' most successful tracks from its "Wings" album released last October. The track jumpstarted the BTS trend of breaking viewing records on youtube and has since surpassed the 100 million views mark on youtube last February.

BTS' subsequent tracks "Spring Day" also earned the record of fastest video to reach 20 million views when it was released early this year. "Not Today" which was released soon after, also broke the record for earning the most views within a 24 hour period. The last 3 videos from BTS. "Spring Day", "Not Today" and Rap Monster's collaboration with American rapper Wale entitled "Change" collectively reached 100 million views in a span of months so the "Blood, Sweat and Tears" Japanese version stands to smash records in Japan as well.
