‘Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo’ Stars Lee Sung Kyung & Jo Hye Jung Clarified Rumor About Them Being In Dispute

"Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" co-stars, Lee Sung Kyung and Jo Hye Jung were involved in a controversy because of an Instagram live stream that happened two months ago. Upon finding out that her remarks towards Jo Hye Jung were misunderstood by netizens, the pair decided to clarify it quickly.

According to Soompi, the incident took place on March 24, when the cast of "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" held a commentary for the drama. Jo Hye Jung, who played Kim Bok Joo's best friend in the drama, went live on Instagram to greet her fans. Right when Jo Hye Jung started her live stream, Lee Sung Kyung followed and began her live broadcast.

Since Lee Sung Kyung has more followers in Instagram than Jo Hye Jung, her live broadcast obviously garnered more viewers. Korea Boo mentioned, while Lee Sung Kyung already had 25,000 viewers, Jo Hye Jung had only 1,112 viewers. Somebody then pointed out that Lee Sung Kyung said "Why do you look so down?", which many people assumed it was directed to Jo Hye Jung.

Many people must have assumed that Lee Sung Kyung did that on purpose to prove that she's more popular than her co-star. Some of them even speculated that Jo Hye Jung must have been hurt because of that.

However, as soon as the controversy arises, Lee Sung Kyung clarifies that she never had any intentions to do such things. Jo Hye Jung was also surprised that such trivial matter would draw a controversy and judgments.

As to Lee Sung Kyung's defense, she said that her remark was never meant to hurt or disrespect Jo Hye Jung. The actress revealed that she and Jo Hye Jung have been close friends ever since they worked together in the drama.

When people become best friends, they tend to throw remarks and jokes that others could have interpreted differently. However, Lee Sung Kyung promises that she will be more considerate in the future.
