It comes as no surprise that G-Dragon's most awaited solo comeback album "Kwon Ji Yong" has achieved an all kill in real time Korean charts merely an hour after its release. G-Dragon's track "Untitled, 2014" took the # 1 spot in 6 charts.
According to a post by the Kpop Charts Data, G-Dragon's title track "Untitled, 2014" topped the charts in MelOn, Mnet, Bugs, Genie, Naver and Soribada as of 7 pm yesterday. The song was released a few minutes before 6 pm.
G-Dragon also amazingly took all three of the top spots in the MelOn charts as Untitled immediately became the # 1 song, "Bullsh*t" took the second spot and "Middle Fingers Up" took the third slot. G-Dragon's "Superstar" also took the fifth spot while this "Outro: Divine Comedia" narrowly missed the Top 10 as it landed on # 11. His songs "Bullsh*t" and "Superstar" are also dominating other real-time charts.
Fans who were waiting for G-Dragon to drop "Bullsh*t" as the first song from the album were surprised that the BIGBANG leader switched it up and released the melancholic "Untitled, 2014" as his title track. Many fans believe that his decision may be due to the ordeal that BIGBANG rapper and his hyung, T.O.P. is currently going through. T.O.P. is still in the hospital after taking an excessive amount of anti-depressants following his dismissal from his police unit when he became involved in an investigation for marijuana use.
"Untitled, 2014" is a slow song composed by G-Dragon that talks about his longing for a lost love. A snippet of the MV has earlier been teased by YG boss Yang Hyung Suk on his Instagram account, Soompi reported.
Aside from supporting G-Dragon with an all kill, #KingJiyongIsBack became a worldwide trending topic for VIPs and fans of the BIGBANG leader from different countries. G-Dragon will kick off his "Act III: MOTTE" world tour on June 10 at the Seoul World Cup Stadium and take his show to 19 cities in Asia, North America, and Australia.
