This Korean Rapper Is Found Guilty For Assault

After a long and endless trial, Korean rapper IRON, who made waves during his appearance on "Unpretty Rapstar" with AOA's Jimin for their sassy track "Puss Puss," has finally received his final sentence in regards to a physical assault against his girlfriend.

The trial was held on July 20th and IRON has been sentenced to two years of probation and 80 hours of community service, with 8 months of prison time if probation is broken. Media outlets reported that the Seoul Central Police released the following statement:

"IRON beat his girlfriend because she wasn't listening to him, causing fractures. IRON and his girlfriend 'A' were having sex, 'A' refused IRON's demands. He beat her face with his fists in anger. About fifteen days afterward, 'A' decided to break up with IRON. He then choked and beat her, causing injuries and fracturing her left pinky." It was also revealed he had threatened her if she approached the authorities with the situation.

Back in March, IRON came forward to the media about the subject saying, "I want to tell you my side of the story accurately because only what the other side alleged, which is untrue, made headlines." Seoul Central Police reported that IRON assaulted his girlfriend multiple times, including at least one incident during sex, and stabbed himself in the right thigh when she threatened to call the authorities.

IRON had commented on the assault case charges back in March saying, "The first time we met was for an album jacket photo shoot. She was the model for my album. Her biggest problem was that she was a masochist in sexual sadomasochism. In the beginning, I was really shocked. She always asked me to be violent. She said that's the only way she was satisfied. It was never physical assault. It was self-defense against her ruthless violence."

He continued, "I was so afraid of her in that state, and I found out she had a boyfriend so we broke up. She was my girlfriend once, so I know the kind of warped mentality she can have. As I got to know her, the more I felt extreme dread. I did not harshly assault the woman nor did I threaten her. I'm a person with a lot of flaws, but I have not caused harm to others or hurt them because of my wants."

But the violent history hasn't started here. Fans were surprised to hear that the rapper had admitted to stabbing one of his friends with a knife in the past as a child. He also lashed out at fellow rappers on Instagram, cursing on their personal posts, and has been charged with marijuana usage in the past. It seems that the rapper, sadly, has a history of violence and rebel-like behavior.

Nevertheless, it was quite the violent situation and IRON is on the losing end of this matter. What are your thoughts on this whole scandal? Was IRON completely out of place and found in the wrong, or is his side of the story something the police she be a lot more concerned about? Let us know down in the comments.
