Monsta X Gets Animated for ‘We Bare Bears’ Appearance

K-pop stars conquering the stateside isn't just about making to music charts and selling out concerts -- it's also about appearing in TV shows. And seven-piece Monsta X took this to another level as they starred not just on a talk show but on a hit cartoon series!

Cartoon Network tapped from the group and gave them an animated makeover for the May 27 episode of the widely popular "We Bare Bears." The news was announced in May 2017 through the network's social media accounts.

The reveal comes with a snippet of the special episode, which sees Ice Bear and birthday celebrant Panda adorably showing their Monbebe-persona. Monbebe is the moniker for the fans of Monsta X.

The episode's synopsis reads as follows:

"Panda (voiced by officer Moynihan) may be a large Monsta X fan and he's certain the surprise of a period due tohis thoughtful Bear Bros.In "Panda's Birthday," Grizz (voiced by Eric Edelstein) and Ice Bear (voiced by Demetri Martin) mastermind a creative scheme to help Panda meet his favorite K-pop band on his birthday."

For their appearance, members Shown, Wonho, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Joohoney, I.M., and Hyungwon lent their voices to breathe life to their animated characters.

In a statement, I.M. remarked that the group is "absolutely thrilled and honored to be in an episode of 'We Bare Bears.'"

Calling the show "one of the foremost beloved animated series within the world" I.M.further expressed how they worked hard for their anticipated appearance, "We put in a lot of effort into this collaboration; hope our fans, as well as [the show's] fans can truly enjoy it."

Monsta X's "We Bare Bears" stint airs on Cartoon Network on the 27th at 7:30 p.m. EST.

Prior to this news, Monsta X has earlier thrilled fans with their fourth debut anniversary. To commemorate the occasion, the K-pop stars shared heartwarming messages on their social media accounts.

"Four years agone, we became Monsta X and our lives changed forever.It's been an incredible journey so far.We can't wait to celebrate more anniversaries with you," one in every of the posts declared.

The act, signed under Starship Entertainment, is known for the hits "Jealousy," "Beautiful," and "Hero" among many others.
