Earlier today, the South Korean news outlet alleged that the two were seen on a date in Hannam, Seoul on Thursday, August 1, and that they became official during the first quarter of the year. Not only that, but the two reportedly met at the male idol's home and stayed within UN Village.
According to a source who is said to be close to the two, a senior idol also acquainted to Kang Daniel and the Nation's Girl Group member was the one introduced the two to each other.
Dispatch went on and reported that the couple meet once or more every week. The news agency added that the two met prior to TWICE's flight to another country for the JYPE group's world tour. Moreover, they were also said to have met after the male idol's solo debut showcase on the 25th of July.
Further, the news agency stated that Kang Daniel and Jihyo are considered as an official couple in the female idol's group. As a matter of fact, one of her fellow TWICE members gave her a ride to her beau's house and came back after a while to fetch her again.
Meanwhile, Kang Daniel's special album continues to soar higher, proving the enormous success of his solo endeavor. Color on Me, his solo debut album, sold 466,701 in the Hanteo Charts. It will be recalled that it took the fans and the whole music industry by surprise when his album amazingly sold 400,000 copies within just three days of its release.
It is currently hailed as the highest number of albums sold in its first week by a soloist, and also the eighth top-selling K-Pop artist album also in its first week. Other idols and artists who have managed to sell more in seven days than the aforementioned solo artist are EXO and BTS. Moreover, Kang Daniel reportedly broke the record he attained with his former boy group Wanna One.
Suffice it to say that this achievement means the world to Kang Daniel, given that he went through a 6-month hiatus due to his legal battle with his former company LM Entertainment. This drought, evidently, shows how much his fans missed his music.
For Kang Daniel, his album is "more than just a debut album, but a special album to repay my fans for their love."
