Through a live broadcast, the famous Korean artist, Chungha who was recently involved in the issue regarding the novel coronavirus clears out the fake news that is circulating online pertaining that her manager is one of the staffs that tested positive for NCOV [COVID-19]
On the live stream that the female idol conducted recently through the online application, Vlive, Chungha confirmed that she is currently in a self-isolation. However, she also assures the viewers, especially her fans, that she is healthy and is doing well.
This is following the reports that were released on the 29th of February, revealing that two of Chungha's staff tested positive after coming back from an overseas schedule. Fortunately, after undergoing the same test, the idol, together with her other crews, tested negative.
Meanwhile, Chungha, who was communicating with her fans, also talked about how some people hurt her feelings, especially when an exclusive report from a Korean news portal claimed that Chungha's manager is one of those two staff that is infected by the virus.
Chungha clarifies it by saying, "There is a report saying that one of the staff that tested positive is my manager. I want to say that this is not true. My three managers all tested negative and were healthy."
Due to this fake news, some of the netizens then accused Chungha of having the virus, for it is impossible that she hasn't been infected if her manager did.
"How would Chungha become negative if her manager tested positive?" Chungha confessed that these comments hurt her, and she also felt guilty and sad because she doesn't want her manager to get hurt as well, with them being involved in an unreliable press release.
On the other hand, there are rumors that the Korean celebrities that attended during the Fashion Week in Milan, together with Chungha, can have the virus as well, including Park Min Young, Han Ye Seul, Jung Saem Mool, and Hwang Minhyun.
Though, it was confirmed on the 3rd of March that all of them were healthy and didn't have any symptoms of the coronavirus.
According to Park Min Young's agency, everyone was healthy, including their staff and the actress herself, and is not set to have any self-isolation. But to secure Park Min Young's health, the agency said, "We are doing our best to minimize her schedules."
Moreover, Han Ye Seul's company released its official statement, saying, "Han Ye Seul, as well as her staff who accompanied her, has no fever and any suspicious symptoms. Everyone is healthy."
Hwang Minhyun, a member of the Korean pop group NU'EST is also healthy, based on the confirmation of his agency. To ensure his safety, Pledis Entertainment released their statement announcing, "No one of the staff has the virus. But Hwang Min Hyun will be taking a break from his schedules for the meantime as the threat of the novel coronavirus is upgraded to serious."
