Russian born Vladimir Tiagunov is a world-known solo pianist, organist, chamber musician, and piano professor. His love for the piano and deep insights derived from understanding the pieces he plays has helped him earn his well-deserved name in the world of music.

Accolades galore

He was felicitated with the Certificate of Excellence for extraordinary dedication to the field of Music Education and outstanding student achievement at the Forte International Music Competition (Carnegie Hall, 2019). This speaks volumes about Vladimir's skill and dedication to his craft, but it serves as a testament to his brilliance as a teacher. Many of his students are Laureate of numerous national and regional Music Competitions. Vladimir added, "I was both honored and humbled to have received such a prestigious award. In 2010 Vladimir won first prize in the International Music Competition "21st Century Art" in Kyiv, Ukraine. Tiagunov also won the Grand Prix in the 11th LISMA International Music Competition in 2015 and received the Gold Medal and the special prize for the best piano technique in the Forte International Competition in Carnegie Hall, 2016.

Love in the days of growing up

Vladimir Tiagunov was by all accounts a very gifted child. He began playing piano at the age of six and was accepted at the Children's Music School No. 5 in Nizhny Tagil. Tiagunov started his music career at a tender age of nine when he gave his first solo recital. From his childhood days, he delved into learning music headfirst. Though a renowned pianist to this date, Tiagunov's steadfast commitment to educate himself on the many different aspects of professional music-making and enjoy this process, has been the secret behind his success.

He practiced his craft without missing a single day in his life and took small and significant improvements at every step on his learning curve only to emerge as one of the best pianists that the world has seen or rather heard.
