In the ranking, Super Junior and its sub-unit SJ-K.R.Y ranked No. 1 and No. 9, respectively, in the "2020 Artist of the Year" rankings, which were selected at the KKBOX website and stream index in the app. The two spots claimed by the iconic K-pop group proved their unrelenting popularity.

Following Super Junior, BTS ranked in No. 2, after they showed one of the greatest performances last year with their magnanimous releases, including the tracks "Dynamite," "ON" and "Life Goes On." In the same year, they reached the peak of Billboard's "Hot 100" Chart multiple times, securing a nomination from the most prestigious award ceremony, "GRAMMY" as well.

Lastly, ITZY becomes the only rookie group on the list and the only fourth-gen idol group among second and third-gen artists.

The five-member group ranked eight, proving their massive popularity and music influence.

KKBOX's 2020 "Top 20 K-pop Single"
