The number one most searched male idol in South Korea in 2020 is none other than BTS member V! The idol often went viral for his stunning visuals and his vocals. Even one simple tweet from the idol would go viral! It is no exaggeration to say that V's popularity truly skyrocketed this 2020.
On March 13, 2020, V released the song "Sweet Night", which was included in the soundtrack of the JTBC drama "Itaewon Class". The song was produced, written, and sung entirely by V. "Sweet Night" is a calming, indie-pop song that is sung entirely in English. The track earned favorable reviews from music critics, with people applauding V for the song's composition, his amazing vocal performance, and his heart-warming lyrics. "Sweet Night" debuted at number two on the Billboard US Digital Song Sales Chart, making him the highest-charting Korean soloist in the chart's history.
On Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2020, V released the solo song "Snow Flower" featuring Peakboy.

The second most-searched idol in 2020 is fellow BTS member Jungkook! Like V, Jungkook also went viral for his amazing voice and visuals. In 2020, Jungkook got quite the attention for his new long hair and his manly physique. Whether Jungkook had his hair up in a bun or down and flowing, Jungkook was able to snatch the hearts of locals with a simple look!
Jungkook, like V, also released his own solo song this year. On June 4, 2020, Jungkook dropped the song "Still With You" for free through BTS's official SoundCloud page. Jungkook produced the song himself. The idol released the song as part of BTS's yearly debut celebrations. The song was praised by Billboard, who described the song as having tinkling synths and gently strummed guitars and brushed drums.
Sitting at number three is yet another BTS member - Jimin!
