The track earned favorable reviews from music critics, with people applauding V for the song's composition, his amazing vocal performance, and his heart-warming lyrics. "Sweet Night" debuted at number two on the Billboard US Digital Song Sales Chart, making him the highest-charting Korean soloist in the chart's history.
