Despite the ongoing pandemic, 2020 has become a great year for Stray Kids as they have managed to attain remarkable total sales!
Based on the accumulated album chart for 2020 released by the Gaon Chart, Stray Kids claimed two spots in the top 50. In particular, Stray Kids was at No. 22 with their repackaged album "In Life" with a total of 440,625 sales, and at No. 27 with their first studio album "Go Live" which had 364,252 copies sold.
Their fifth extended play titled "Cle:Levanter," which was released in December 2019, continued to have sales last year. It attained 210,000 earnings in the entire 2020. Combining the sales of these three works, Stray Kids earned more than one million sales in 2020 alone. From their pre-debut EP titled "Mixtape" to their repackaged album "In Life," Stray Kids now has 10,106,120 total sales over the past years.
"Go Live" was the boy band's initial best-selling album, debuting at No. 1 on the weekly Gaon Album Chart after selling 243,462 copies by the end of June. It later secured the No. 5 position of the monthly Gaon Album Chart. After selling more than 250,000 albums in August 2020, "Go Live" was officially certified platinum by the Gaon Chart. This is Stray Kids' very first album to obtain the feat.
Apart from the album, its lead single "God's Menu" became the group's first entry on the Gaon Weekly Download Chart, debuting at No. 144. Stray Kids' accomplishments didn't stop there.

In September 2020, the JYPE boy group launched "In Life," the repackaged album of "Go Live." The album sold 233,381 copies in the first week after its release, almost doubling the first week sales from "Go Live," which had 127,930 copies. Because of this, Stray Kids' "In Life" ranked No. 1 both on Hanteo's album chart for the week of Sept. 14 to 20 and Gaon's retail album chart for the week of Sept. 13 to 19.
"In Life" has now become Stray Kids' best-selling album. Not to mention, "In Life" broke the group's previous personal record for stock pre-orders after exceeding 300,000 pre-orders, beating the 200,000 pre-orders for "Go Live." Moreover, "In Life" became Stray Kids' second album to receive an official platinum certification from the Gaon Chart after selling more than 250,000 copies.
Besides the impressive sales of the albums, Stray Kids was included in TIME Magazine's "The 10 Best Songs of 2020" list with their recent title track "Back Door." The song came in at No. 8 - it is the only K-pop work on the list. The band's other title song "God's Menu" was considered as one of the "unforgettable songs that defined K-pop" in 2020 by BuzzFeed.
They also received the "Best Korean Act" award from the 2020 MTV Europe Music Awards. And recently, they received one of the "Best Performance" awards at the 35th Golden Disc Awards.
Stray Kids is an eight-member boy group that was formed by JYP Entertainment through a reality show. The band debuted in March 2018 with the EP "I Am Not," together with the music video for its title track "District 9." Initially consists of nine members, Woojin left Stray Kids and JYPE in October 2019 due to personal reasons.
