NCSoft, Klap's UNIVERSE Releases First Set of Concept Photos

The newly-launched K-pop fan interaction platform, UNIVERSE, has released the first concept photos for its original content.

NCSoft and its entertainment arm Klap has posted the results of the latest pictorial on February 1, releasing charming photos of Park Ji-hoon, CIX member Bae Jin-young, IZ*ONE member Yena, and AB6IX member Lee Dae-hwi.

Singer-actor Park Ji-hoon, also formerly from boy group Wanna One, appears as an art student. Giving off a playful vibe, Ji-hoon wore a denim jacket and a brown apron while holding a pair of paintbrushes, with more tucked in his apron. The "L.O.V.E." artist strikes a pose, leaning over a marble bust while biting his lip - almost guaranteed to invite fans to take art lessons with him.

Bae Jin-young, CIX visual and lead dancer, transforms into a literal and a figurative "flower boy." According to UNIVERSE, he is a horticultural student, or learning about the art and science of cultivating and taking care of edible and ornamental plants. With a spread of roses and tulips around him, Bae Jin-young only proves his position as the CIX visual.

Next in the set is AB6IX member Lee Dae-Hwi, who perfectly captures the air of sophistication often associated with performers of classical music. As an orchestral music student, violin in hand, the AB6IX maknae adds his own twist to the character with a modernized ensemble topped with a large bowtie.

Bae Jin-young and Lee Dae-Hwi, like Park-Ji-hoon and Kang Daniel, are all former members of the boy group Wanna One.

Lastly, the only rose among this set, IZ*ONE's Yena comes across as the most student-like yet the most mysterious of the four released images. According to the accompanying press release, she is a freshman at a supernatural school, accented by the presence of notes on the floor and what appears to be a section of an esoteric diagram. Her concept perfectly coincides with her group's latest single, "D-D-Dance," which marked the release of UNIVERSE Music. Whether her mysteriously charming concept photo is related to their in-universe music video remains to be seen.
