Upcoming global K-Pop platform UNIVERSE has already announced its first online live concert, "UNI-KON," scheduled for February 14, 7:00 p.m. KST.
NCSoft and Klap, on January 21, made the announcement and soon released a video teaser and the official event poster that included the lineup of artists set to appear in the live event. Announced in the upcoming fan interaction platform's social networking sites, K-Pop fans around the world can watch 14 of their favorite artists perform live and exclusive on UNIVERSE - available through its website and mobile apps.
In its 39-second trailer, UNIVERSE pulls all stops by emphasizing the unique and united experience set to happen on Valentine's Day this year. Taken from "UNIVERSE K-POP CONCERT," the "UNI-KON" event unveiled the lineup for the free online streaming event and ended the teaser with the official poster art for the event.
The fourteen artists set to perform on the first UNIVERSE "UNI-KON" include Kang Daniel, The Boyz, MONSTA X, Park Ji Hoon, CIX, ASTRO, IZ*ONE, (G)I-DLE, Oh My Girl, WJSN, AB6IX, ATEEZ, WEi, and Cravity. With this gathering of stars in one live-streamed event, their respective fanbases are expected to gather in a show of support for their favorite idols.

Additionally, a statement from Klap revealed that the online "UNI-KON" will also serve as a platform for demonstrating the new K-Pop fan interaction platform's extended reality (XR) capabilities, taking entertainment to the next level. Its augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality (MR) will provide not just multi-view functions to the event performances and could deliver 3D holographic projections on-screen.
Finally, NCSoft has announced the launch date for the highly-anticipated UNIVERSE: January 28.
Shortly since it opened pre-registrations last November 12, K-Pop fans from more than 188 countries worldwide - including the United States, South Korea, Japan, Brazil, Indonesia, Taiwan, and more - have already flocked and crossed the 1 million pre-registration mark a month later.
Now, NCSoft and Klap reported that by January 21, they have already received more than 4 million pre-registrations, almost two weeks after announcing passing the 2 million pre-registration mark.
Fans who register through the UNIVERSE app - available on Google Play for Android users and the Apple App Store for iOS users - will receive exclusive UNIVERSE costume sets. These are in-app items fans can use to dress up their favorite idols in the platform's Studio feature, which allows users to style up and shoot their own music videos using 3D avatars modeled after the K-pop artists themselves. Additionally, pre-registered accounts will be given a "Welcome Merch Stamp," a special digital coupon they can exchange for "Welcome Goods" once the UNIVERSE officially launches.
NCSoft's UNIVERSE is a digital fan-interaction platform that promises exclusive content and bonding opportunities between fans and their favorite idols - with each artist in the UNIVERSE getting their own "PLANET" to host their activities. It has already begun the promotion of original content such as IZ*ONE's "D-D-DANCE" via the UNIVERSE Music. Fans are also eager to see Kang Daniel star in "Agent Blackjack K" and MONSTA X in "Area 51: The Code."
