Gaon Chart has released the latest batch of K-pop groups whose albums have earned million and platinum album certifications.
On Oct. 7, the Korea Music Content Industry Association revealed a new list of K-pop albums released this year that have been certified on Gaon for reaching a certain amount of sales.
Among the many idol groups that released new albums this year, Stray Kids, Red Velvet, and TXT are some of the artists with the new Gaon album certifications.
According to Gaon's criteria, an album is certified platinum for selling 250,000 copies, double platinum for selling 500,000 copies, triple-platinum for selling 750,000 copies, and million for selling one million copies.
Stray Kids NOEASY and NCT Dream Hello Future Earn Million Album Certification from Gaon Chart
For this month, both Stray Kids and NCT Dream have been certified million sellers by Gaon Chart for their respective albums, "NOEASY" and "Hello Future."
"NOEASY" is a meaningful album for Stray Kids as it has become their first album and the first album from JYP Entertainment to sell one million copies in history.
Also, Stray Kids' "NOEASY" is the most-pre-ordered album from JYPE. It recorded nearly over 930,000 stock pre-orders on the day of the boy group's comeback, surpassing the record of 830,000 copies set by J.Y. Park's "Tantara" back in 1995.

Meanwhile, "Hello Future" will also be a memorable album for NCT Dream as it has become one of the best-selling repackaged albums by a K-pop group after selling over one million copies as of early July 7, which is just 10 days since the album was released.
This is the second time that NCT Dream's "Hello Future" was certified by Gaon Chart. This past September, the album earned its platinum album certification.
TXT and The Boyz Receive Double Platinum Album Certification from Gaon Chart
TOMORROW X TOGETHER and The Boyz are the other fourth-generation boy groups who got new Gaon album certifications.
TXT's "The Chaos Chapter: FIGHT OR ESCAPE" and The Boyz's "THRILL-ING" have both been certified double platinum after reaching 500,000 copies in domestic sales.

"The Chaos Chapter: FIGHT OR ESCAPE" is TXT's first repackage album, which is the repackaged version of their second studio album "The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE."
On the Hanteo Chart, the album recorded the third-highest first-week sales in history among repackaged albums by K-pop groups.
Regarding The Boyz's "THRILL-ING," it is the boy group's best-selling album so far. It sold over 520,000 copies on Hanteo in the first week since its release. It is their first album to sell half a million copies.
Red Velvet and ASTRO are Now Obtain Platinum Album Certification from Gaon Chart
The last two K-pop groups that have earned a new Gaon album certification this October are Red Velvet and ASTRO.
Red Velvet's "Queendom" and ASTRO's "Switch On" are now certified platinum on Gaon for selling 250,000 copies in South Korea.

"Queendom" is Red Velvet's best-selling album so far as it is the group's first album to sell more than 200,000 copies both on Gaon and Hanteo.
Additionally, "Queendom" becomes the girl group's first-ever album to be certified platinum on Gaon.
Meanwhile, "SWITCH ON" becomes ASTRO's second album to receive a platinum album certification from Gaon. The first one is "All Yours," which was released this past April.
