BTS Departs to Las Vegas With Jungkook Leaving Ahead of Members
In the afternoon of March 28, it was reported that BTS has departed from Incheon International Airport to depart to Las Vegas in the United States. They are scheduled to make an attendance and perform at this year's 64th Grammy Awards to be held on April 4 local time.
In addition to their Grammy Awards appearance, BTS will also be holding the third leg of their "Permission to Dance On Stage" concert in the state.
Member J-Hope did not join their departure as he was diagnosed positive for COVID-19 back on March 24. He is currently in self-quarantine and receiving home treatment. But J-Hope will be joining the scheduled activities in April, according to Big Hit Music.

However, as it was reported that the members have boarded a flight to Las Vegas, it was confirmed that youngest member Jungkook had already left South Korea ahead of the members.

Why Did Jungkook Depart to Las Vegas First?
According to reports, Jungkook had boarded an early flight to Las Vegas, and was accompanied by Big Hit Music staff. Reports say that the reason he left the country first was because he "had to check something first to prepare for the awards ceremony."
ARMYs, however, have begun speculating the reason for Jungkook's early flight. Fans suspect that the possibility of the youngest BTS member might collaborate with another artist at the Grammy Awards. Some have also jokingly said that Jungkook is preparing to make a grand entrance, like him "parachuting" into the ceremony.

Meanwhile, BTS was nominated for their second time as the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance with their 2021 hit song "Butter." They are in the running of the category alongside artists such as Coldplay's "Higher Power," Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett's "I Get a Kick Out of You," Justin Bieber and Benny Blanco's "Lonely," and Doja Cat and SZA's "Kiss Me More."
In other news, BTS will be holding their "Permission to Dance On Stage" concert in Las Vegas at the Allegiant Stadium from April 8 to 9 and April 15 to 16 local time. This will mark BTS' first offline concert in four months in the United States since their Los Angeles concert back in late November to early December in 2021.
